1. About DanceDad

DanceDad is an independent UK dance discovery, planning and information website covering dance competitions, opportunities, progression routes and related resources.

DanceDad does not organise, operate or control the third-party competitions, auditions, programmes, events or services listed on the website unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Information published on DanceDad

We aim to publish useful and accurate information, but event dates, venues, eligibility rules, entry deadlines, pricing, availability and other details can change.

Users should always confirm important information directly with the relevant organiser or provider before entering an event, purchasing tickets, booking accommodation, arranging travel or making other commitments.

DanceDad is not responsible for changes made by third-party organisers after information has been checked or published.

3. Free opportunity submissions

Organisers and providers may submit relevant dance opportunities to DanceDad for consideration.

Submitting an opportunity does not guarantee publication. DanceDad may decide whether an opportunity is relevant, suitable, sufficiently clear or appropriate for the audience.

We may edit submitted information for clarity, formatting, consistency or accuracy while preserving the substance of the opportunity.

Free submissions do not include guaranteed placement, comprehensive programme coverage, homepage exposure or any guaranteed level of traffic.

4. Paid DanceDad products and promotional services

DanceDad currently offers several optional paid products and promotional services.

5. Featured Opportunity placements

A Featured Opportunity purchase provides enhanced promotional visibility for one eligible opportunity for approximately 30 days.

This may include:

• a Featured Opportunity position on the DanceDad homepage;
• prominent placement on a relevant DanceDad category or opportunity page;
• event artwork or logo where suitable;
• key event information;
• a direct organiser or booking link; and
• manual review before publication.

The exact start date of a placement may depend on receiving the information, artwork and links required to publish it.

Payment buys enhanced visibility only. It does not guarantee clicks, enquiries, entries, ticket sales, conversions, search rankings or any other commercial result.

6. Featured Organisers

Featured Organiser membership is intended for eligible organisers with multiple relevant opportunities.

During an active membership, DanceDad will reasonably aim to review and publish eligible current opportunities supplied by the organiser.

Featured Organiser benefits may include:

• a dedicated evergreen organiser page;
• organiser logo and short profile;
• a direct official website link;
• current or upcoming verified DanceDad-listed events;
• enhanced event-card treatment;
• a Featured Organiser badge; and
• a small evergreen Featured Organiser presence on the DanceDad homepage.

Featured Organiser membership does not automatically include a Featured Opportunity campaign slot, email promotion, social-media promotion or guaranteed traffic.

7. Featured Partners

Featured Partner membership is intended for relevant businesses, products, services or resources serving the dance community.

Featured Partner benefits may include:

• a dedicated evergreen DanceDad partner page;
• a business logo and service or product description;
• links to the partner's official website;
• a homepage Featured Partner card;
• appropriate contextual links from relevant DanceDad content where there is a genuine fit; and
• reasonable annual updates to the partner page when requested.

Partner status does not influence DanceDad's independent editorial recommendations or rankings.

8. Editorial independence and paid disclosure

Paid promotional relationships are separate from DanceDad's independent editorial decisions.

Payment does not buy favourable reviews, rankings or editorial recommendations.

Where reasonably appropriate, paid partner, organiser or featured content will be identified using wording such as Featured Partner, Featured Organiser or Featured Opportunity.

9. Information supplied by organisers and partners

The person or organisation supplying information to DanceDad is responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate, lawful and not misleading.

By supplying logos, photographs, artwork, descriptions or other materials, you confirm that you have the right to use those materials and to allow DanceDad to display them for the purpose of providing the agreed listing, page or promotional placement.

Please tell us promptly if important published information becomes incorrect or out of date.

10. Review, refusal and removal

DanceDad reserves the right to refuse, delay, amend or remove submitted or paid promotional content where there is a reasonable concern about relevance, accuracy, legality, safety, misleading claims, intellectual-property rights or suitability for the DanceDad audience.

If a paid placement cannot reasonably be provided because the submitted opportunity or business is not eligible, we will contact the purchaser to discuss an appropriate resolution.

11. Prices and payment

The price displayed at the point of purchase is the price that applies to that transaction unless an obvious pricing error has occurred.

Payments are processed using third-party payment services such as Stripe. DanceDad does not store full payment-card details.

Existing customers on historic subscription prices may continue on those legacy prices while their existing subscription remains active. Current public pricing applies to new purchases unless DanceDad expressly agrees otherwise.

12. Annual subscriptions and renewal

Featured Organiser and Featured Partner products are currently offered as annual subscriptions unless stated otherwise at the point of purchase.

Recurring subscriptions may renew automatically using the payment method associated with the subscription unless cancelled before the next renewal date.

Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not normally end an already-paid annual period early. Any statutory rights you may have remain unaffected.

If a legacy customer cancels an historic subscription and later rejoins, the current public price will normally apply.

13. Competition Planner and digital products

DanceDad digital products are provided for information and planning purposes.

Competition information is checked against available organiser information, but dates, deadlines, eligibility rules and other details may change after publication.

Where a product is sold as a preorder, the expected delivery date or delivery window will be shown on the relevant sales page.

Nothing in these terms limits any cancellation, refund or other rights that apply to consumers under UK law.

14. Refunds and cancellations

If you believe a paid DanceDad product or service has not been supplied as described, contact us and we will review the issue.

Refund and cancellation rights can vary depending on the type of purchase, whether a promotional service has already begun and whether digital content has already been supplied.

We will handle eligible requests in accordance with applicable UK consumer law. These terms do not remove or restrict statutory consumer rights.

15. Third-party websites and services

DanceDad contains links to websites and services operated by third parties, including event organisers, booking providers, businesses and payment platforms.

DanceDad is not responsible for the availability, security, content, policies, pricing or performance of third-party websites or services.

16. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the original design, branding, written content and resources created by DanceDad remain the intellectual property of DanceDad or the relevant rights holder.

Third-party logos, images, business names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Content from DanceDad may not be systematically copied, republished, scraped, resold or redistributed without permission except where permitted by law.

17. Liability

DanceDad provides information and discovery resources and does not guarantee that any particular event, organiser, service or opportunity will be suitable for a particular dancer, family, school or business.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DanceDad is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from reliance on third-party event information, changes made by organisers, third-party services or decisions made after using information published on the site.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

18. Privacy and personal information

Personal information submitted through DanceDad is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy .

Our Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, stored and used when you contact DanceDad, submit an opportunity, join an email list or purchase a product or service.

19. Changes to these terms

DanceDad may update these terms when products, services, legal requirements or the way the website operates change.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

20. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
