Conventions are a dancers dream – how else could you attend a masterclass, watch some pro performances, try on the latest styles and research your further education opportunities all in the space of a day?
As the popularity of dance in the UK increases the size and scale of the dance convention follows suit, with the largest being held in arena size venues across a weekend.
Entry prices vary from event to event and masterclasses tend to come at an extra cost (see individual events pages), but the opportunity to be taught by some of the top teachers in the UK is too good to miss. Exhibitors include dance wear and footwear brands, leading photographers, further education colleges offering dance courses and specialist performing arts schools. When you’re done with all that you can take a breather checking out some of the showcase performances that are on offer. Definitely worth the price of a ticket for any age or level of dancer!
