World Dance Challenge

World Dance Challenge

Hosted in association with the DWC, 2020 see’s the very first World Dance Challenge. Aside from an opportunity for dance schools to compete against dancers from other countries, highlights will include an opening ceremony, workshops and DJ parties..

When and Where Is It in 2020?: April 3 – April 8 in Portugals Algarve region

Who’s it for?: Dancers from 9 and under up to Adult can compete in solos, duets, trios, small groups or large groups

Disciplines Include: Acro Dance, Ballet, Commercial, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Street Dance, Jazz, Lyrical and Show Dance

Qualification: via video audition or at a live audition in the dancers resident country

Dance World Cup – Rome 2020

Dance World Cup

You can’t talk International Dance Competitions without talking the Dance World Cup. In 2019, 6000 dancers from 53 countries descended on Portugal to compete, take part in workshops and parade through Braga during the open ceremony. Previous finals have taken in Spain, Germany, Romania and France.

When and Where is It in 2020?: June 26 – July 4, at Cinecitta World in Rome, Italy

Who’s It For?: Dancers age 4 – 25

Disciplines Include: Classical Ballet, Modern, Tap, Song and Dance, Street/Hip Hop and National

Qualification: All dancers must qualify through their country of residence

The World Dance Pageant

World Dance Pageant

The World Dance Pageant is a ‘spectacular’ event for any soloist. Dancers are judged in talent, interview and modeling, as well as ballet, jazz & contemporary/lyrical, hip-hop and tap classes for the chance to be crowned the Mr or Miss World Dance for their age group. Competitors also learn an opening routine which takes place at the WDP finale and are invited to attend the after party!

When and Where is it in 2020?: July 27 – July 29 at Meadowlands, NJ, USA

Who’s It For?: Soloists age 8 and under up to 19

Disciplines Include: Acrobatic/Gymnastics, Ballet/Pointe, Jazz, Musical Theater, Open, Contemporary/Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop

Qualification: Register via the WDP website, part and full scholarships are awarded to outstanding dancers at regional Starpower Alliance events

World Dance Championship

World Dance Championship

Taking place at the fantastic Meadowlands Exposition Centre, the World Dance Championships is the show stopping invite only culmination of the StarAlliance tour schedule. Dance schools perform their routines aiming to make the famous ‘final five’ with the aim of being crowned World Dance Champions!

When and Where is it in 2020?: July 28 – August 2 in Meadowlands, NJ, USA

Who’s It For?: Advanced, Intermediate and Novice Small Groups, Large Groups, Lines and Grand Lines that have qualified via a StarDance Alliance regional or national event

Qualification: The 3 top scoring routines from each section and division at Star Dance Alliance competitions

All Dance – World

All Dance World

Dancers from across the 5 continents congregate in Orlando, Florida every year representing their nations and competing to be crowned best dance school, choreographers and dancers at the All Dance World event from All Dance Alliance.

When and Where is it in 2020? November 25 – November 29 in Orlando, Florida

Who’s It For?: Student and Professional dancers from 4 to Adult

Disciplines; Ballet, Neoclassical, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Tap, Spanish, Ethnic, Latino, Arab, Show, Hip Hop, Bollywood and Commercial.

Qualification: Register via the All Dance International website
